Cardinals’ Budda Baker ‘never lost feeling or movement’ after on-field collision

Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker “never lost feeling or movement,” according to the team’s medical staff, after an on-field collision with Los Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers led to him being carted off the field during Monday’s NFC wild-card game.

The injury occurred as Baker made a hit but his head collided with Akers’ body. Baker was immobilized and taken off during the third quarter, raising his arm prior to being carted off.

The Cardinals announced that Baker was ruled out with a concussion and had movement in his extremities. He was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation and was alert and communicative with the medical staff.
