The deal will ensure that Berube is with the Blues through the 2025-25 season. The 56-year-old was in the last year of his deal with the club.

“I’ve enjoyed working with (General Manager) Doug Armstrong and (Chairman) Tom Stillman, working with the coaching staff and training staff and all the players we have here,” Berube told stlouisblues.com. “Why would I want to go anywhere else? I love it here.”

Berube joined the Blues Nov. 19, 2018 where he guided the team from last place in the NHL standings to their first Stanley Cup title. In his fourth season in St. Louis, Berube has a 133-72-30 regular-season record.

The Calahoo, Alta., native ranks seventh in Blue history in games coached and fourth in wins.
